Battery Module Testing [20V~200V]

Cell-level testing typically focuses on the chemistry of the battery, but starting at the module level, the emphasis shifts towards applications such as construction arrangement and design. Modules are formed by connecting battery cells in parallel and in series, representing a sub-system stage before progressing to the pack level. This middle voltage range is also commonly used in applications like e-bikes and e-scooters.

NEWARE offers module testers ranging from 20V to 200V. The modular design allows for customization to meet diverse client requirements with shorter lead times. With a high-frequency sampling rate of 100Hz, these testers enable detailed performance analysis and safety studies. Additionally, the rapid current response supports pulse testing and simulations, including DST, FUDS, UDDs, and more.

High Voltage Pack Testing [300V~1500V]

A higher voltage system increases efficiency by reducing current draw while delivering the same power output. This minimizes energy loss through cable resistance, allows for smaller wire gauges, and enhances overall system performance.

High-voltage systems in EVs enable faster charging, and reduced heat generation by requiring less current to deliver power. This contributes to extended driving range and better performance. Most modern EVs operate between 400V and 800V, with some high-performance models exceeding this range. Energy storage systems often operate between 800V and 1000V, which is achieved by connecting multiple battery stacks in series to meet the high power demands.

During module and pack testing, an integrated CAN box establishes communication between the tester and the battery management system (BMS), enabling comprehensive inspection of the entire system. In the absence of a BMS, our auxiliary unit can directly measure individual cell voltages within a module, to check on the cell balancing.

Temperature is always a critical factor that impacts test data accuracy. To address this, NEWARE has developed environmental chambers designed specifically for battery testing. These chambers feature built-in safety programs and can be seamlessly controlled alongside the test system from a single interface, optimizing your workflow and ensuring efficient operation.
